So I'm taking intermediate metal arts this coming semester, which is actually the 3rd level of the series, as you're supposed to take beginning twice. I need to post my projects from the second level of beginning, and I will, but I'm SO EXCITED to start casting my own projects that I had to write a list.
1) A series of 3 or 4 rings based on Harry Dresden's kinetic energy-storing rings in the Dresden Files (by Jim Butcher, READ THEM, they are awesome). Pretty basic rings with a few runes on them.
2) Mustache necklace. I know, I know, hipster nonsense... But they're too damn funny. All the ones available for purchase are crappy plastic and, in my opinion, poorly designed - the chain never connects in an aesthetically pleasing or practical way. Plus a friend of mine is getting married soon and all the guys in the groom's party are thinking of growing ridiculous mustaches, so I figured the girls should have some, too. Possibly a series of sizes ranging from teeny to gigantic.
3) More Pirate Bunneh. Earrings and small pendants for bracelets and necklaces. Probably at least one sailor chain on which to hang one of the pendants.
We'll see how much of this comes to fruition. I'll be taking intermediate with a different teacher than I had for beginning... and I don't much care for the change, if you get my meaning. The previous teacher had to retire for health reasons, which is sad because he was way too awesome.
